Guided / Educational Fishing Trips

Is the price per group or per person?

My rates are per group NOT per person, rates are for up to two anglers, please add $50 for a third angler (3 anglers max)

Can we do trips out of customer boats?

For guided and educational trips, I much prefer running them out of my Phoenix bass boat. If you are wanting to do an electronics trip as well in the 4 or 8 hour time frame, we can do them in your boat as well.

Where/when will we meet?

Trips that are being ran out of my personal boat will be ran out of April Plaza Marina (17742 Hwy 105 W, Montgomery, TX 77356). Morning and full day trips start at safe light as it changes throughout the year, I will let you know.

What is a customary tip amount?

20% of the booked trip price.

How many guest can you fit?

Three anglers maximum. Two anglers is best but I will charge $50 extra for a third angler. If you are wanting to accommodate a larger group, more boats and guides will be required. Please let me know and I will be happy to arrange it for you.

Do I need to bring my own tackle?

If you have favorite rods and reels or confidence baits, feel free to bring a small bag and a few rods. I will have everything you need for the day. All rods are Castaway Rods and all reels are Shimano.

Can I keep what I catch?

I highly encourage catch and release for all largemouth. If you desire, you are more than welcome to, the keeper size on Lake Conroe is 16" minimum. All bass over 4 pounds must be released. If you plan on keeping any fish, bring a cooler and ice. I do NOT offer a filet service.

What should I bring?

My goal is to make this as easy as possible so that all you have to do is show up and fish! The only item you must bring, that I can not legally provide, is your fishing license. All fishing gear and tackle is provided, however there are a few things you may consider bringing. Bottled water on ice is provided, but drinks, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a camera are all great items to bring. Small coolers similar in size to a lunch box are more than welcome. Full size coolers such as a Yeti 35 do not fit in the boat and are discouraged. There is a cooler built into the boat you are more than welcome to use.
All clients over the age of 16 are required by law to have a valid Texas fishing license. Licenses can be purchased at any Academy Sports and Outdoors, Walmart or online at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's website.Licenses can be purchase online via the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's website.

Are you child friendly?

Absolutely, children over 6 are more than welcome. Please let me know the approximate weight of your child so I can bring an appropriate life jacket if you don't have one. Children 13 and under are required to wear life jackets at all times on the boat.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided, bottle water is included. There are several restaurants on Lake Conroe if you would like to stop for lunch.

What species do you guide for?
